One of our favorite family Christmas Eve traditions that we like to share with friends and neighbors before Santa’s big arrival is magic reindeer food. We mix up a big batch a few days before Christmas. Friends in the neighborhood love receiving this special feed to sprinkle on their lawns.
One of our favorite parts about the Santa Claus tradition is his flying reindeer. Something about these graceful animals flying through the sky on Christmas Eve night spreading magic and generosity. It just helps make the holiday even more special.
Once October rolls around, Halloween suddenly seems right around the corner. Like a corner that couldn’t possibly be 31 days away. I don’t know how it does that so quickly, but the Halloween countdown window has begun.
Flitting fairies. Woodland friends. And sipping tea in a shady glen. All of these things made for a delightful fairy tea party to celebrate my little’s recent summer birthday.
The event was inspired by a beautiful fairy festival that we attended the previous year.
I love inviting people to come over to our house. I think it’s because as a kid this wasn’t something my family did very often. Don’t get me wrong. We had a few people over here and there.
2020. What is there to say about the year 2020 and entertaining. Railroaded comes to mind. As in most of the events that we usually host. Gone. Reinvented. Transformed. We have made in person birthday parties into virtual birthdays or drive by parades. And baby showers have become gatherings around the mom-to-be from a distance. …
