Now that so many kids are heading back to school, it’s time to host school themed celebrations. Back to school parties are a fantastic way to say goodbye to summer and kick off a new school year. They’re also a great way to meet your new classmates.

For an easy back to school party favor, send guests home with one of these chalkboard doodle favor boxes.  You can fill them with back to school goodies.

Easy to make, these adorable little boxes can be personalized and decorated to your heart’s content!  Set out chalk at your party for guests to doodle on their own box.  Then, they can fill their box with an assortment of fun school supplies to take home.  Or have your kids help personalize guests’ boxes and fill as a sweet little take home treat.

You Will Need:

Large Gable Boxes
Chalkboard Spray Paint
White and colored chalk

1. Spray paint each gable box with chalkboard paint. Let dry.

2. Decorate the box with chalk. Add your recipient’s name, small doodles or other pictures. Or leave blank for guests to decorate as a party activity.

3. Fill with an assortment of fun school supplies – unique pencils, crayons, glitter markers, stickers and scissors.

These chalkboard doodle favor boxes also make a wonderful teacher gift at the beginning of the year or even a sweet gift for your child on the first day of school.  Fill them with lots of wonderful goodies to celebrate this special time of year.

Happy Celebrating,
