Free Printable Chalkboard Rainbow Birthday Tags

I was so excited when the groundhog saw his shadow last week that I could have done some cartwheels.  I haven’t done cartwheels in many, many years, but I would have been willing to try.  Even though winter is still trying to hang on, spring might be coming a little early this year.  It’s fine with me.  I’m ready.

Thinking about spring, put me in the mood for some rainbow fun.  I created our new free printable chalkboard rainbow tags.  They are perfect for a cheerful addition to a birthday package, spring party favor or other rainbow inspired gift.  You can download your own free printable chalkboard rainbow tags here.

These tags were used on top of an art inspired present for Little Bug.  I wrapped a variety of art supplies – coloring books, stickers, scissors, glue, crayons and markers – in the colors of the rainbow.  Each part of the present was wrapped in tissue paper that was a different color of the rainbow (affiliate).  Then, I tied the stack of gifts with a rainbow of baker’s twine (affiliate).  You could also use this pretty rainbow hemp cord (affiliate). 

You should have seen her eyes when she discovered it on her birthday morning.  She loved opening all of the little gifts.  And the discovery of new art supplies inside was priceless.

I’m thinking about creating a similar gift idea for St. Patrick’s Day this year.  Instead of 7 colors of the rainbow, though, I will add an eighth in gold tissue paper (affiliate) to represent the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.  These free printable chalkboard rainbow tags will be perfect at the top!
