Free Printable Father’s Day Breakfast in Bed
Donuts and dads – they just seem to go together like peanut butter and jelly. Not really sure why, but they’ve always made the perfect pair.
When my littles were in preschool, one of my favorite activities was their Donuts and Dads breakfast. Did your kids ever have one?
It was a father-child breakfast celebration held in February since they were out of school in June to celebrate an early Father’s Day. What a fun way to show Dad how much they loved him. There was singing, presents and lots of… donuts! I loved all of the adorable photos that came home from that event. I’m not sure who enjoyed it more – Dad feeling special or my littles eating donuts on a random school morning.
Inspired by our new donut themed birthday invitation, I created a Free Printable Donut Father’s Day Breakfast collection. The collection includes all of the must haves for a Father’s Day breakfast in bed – donut style. There is a breakfast in bed donut menu, Father’s Day donut straw flags, Father’s Day donut favor tags and even a Father’s Day donut door hanger to remind everyone to be quiet!
Start the morning off right by delivering a detailed donut menu to dad. This way he doesn’t have to get up right away to make breakfast (if this is something that he’s used to doing). Instead, he can bask in bed and choose his favorite kind of donut. This will also make the donut pick up even easier. Also, don’t forget something to drink to wash down all of that sugary goodness!
Load the kids in the car for a trip to your local donut shop. This way dad gets some quiet time to relish in his Father’s Day glory. To make his morning extra special, you could also place a favorite book on his bed stand, leave the Sunday newspaper in easy reach or put a new CD in the stereo. These little additions make perfect presents for dad.
To remind everyone that it’s dad’s special day, leave our donut inspired door hanger on your bedroom door. This way Dad can relax in peace and quiet – that’s all we really want as parents right?
After you return home with your donut selections, adorn the plate with his special donut. Add donut themed straw flags to the top that say Happy Father’s Day. I attached them with Glue Dots to toothpicks for easy assembly.
If your kids have a handmade Father’s Day gift – such as our You Rock Dad Frame and Coloring Print – wrap it in a kraft cardboard box or bag. Attach our donut themed Father’s Day gift tag to the top for easy packaging.
