50+ Free Father’s Day Printables Dad will Love
This post contains affiliate links which help support One Simple Party. As always, we only recommend things that we truly love. Full disclosure here.
Believe it or not, Dad’s special day will be here before you know it. Always after Mother’s Day and the rush through the end of the school year, suddenly it’s the middle of June and Father’s Day is here.
Although Father’s Day was originally celebrated first in 1910, it took President Woodrow Wilson to make it an official holiday in 1972. He probably felt left out after all of those years celebrating Mother’s Day.
We love celebrating Father’s Day with printables. They’re easy to make. And the kids love adding their own little touches. Such as coloring something for Dad or making him a banner. We’ve even hosted a donut inspired breakfast in bed, which he loved.
How Do I Choose Which Father’s Day Printables to Use?
It all starts with a gift idea. Think about what kind of gift you want to make for Dad. And your gift idea doesn’t have to be complicated.
Maybe you want to decorate the house to make it special. Or the kids love coloring and want to give Dad an original artistic creation. Some kids are passionate about making original cards.
Whatever their desire, there is a Father’s Day printable that will achieve the gift giving goal. Before selecting your perfect Father’s Day printables, browse through them. See which ones you think Dad would like best. Some ideas are more themed to Dad’s passions and interests than others. Choose one that’s all about him.
How do I Make the Father’s Day Printables?
The best part about using Father’s Day printables is that they are easy to make. After you select your favorite designs, it’s time to download and print. You can find all of my best printing tips here.
When printing your printables, it’s important to choose the best paper. For most printable designs, except maybe coloring pages, my favorite is this smooth white cardstock from Neenah (affiliate). Don’t let the weight of the paper fool you. It’s a very lightweight 110 pound and perfect for most printers.
You also might need a paper trimmer, 2 inch circle punch (if you want to make cupcake toppers) and baker’s twine (for hanging tags) depending on which Father’s Day printables you plan to make.
And most importantly, make sure that your printer has ink before you start (check out this deal from HP Ink if you need more ink). Nothing can be more frustrating than planning on making a printables project only to discover that your printer is out of ink! (affiliate)
