As Thanksgiving gets closer, I have been looking for fun ways to celebrate gratitude this season. In the past, we have created a family thankful tree and completed random acts of kindness challenge.
So this year, I was looking for a new way to focus on gratitude and created this Free Printable Gratitude Bingo. It’s the perfect mix of fun and mindfulness.
What is Gratitude Bingo?
Gratitude Bingo is a Bingo game that you can play solo or as a group challenge. The goal is to see how many times you can make Bingo before Thanksgiving.
Each square features simple acts of kindness or gratitude reflections. Some things I was sure to include are sending a note to someone special, practicing positive self talk, supporting a local business, and taking a nature walk.
It’s an easy and meaningful way for players to notice the little things during this busy season. And show gratitude to the community around them.
How Do You Play?
Gratitude Bingo can be played individually or as a group. Sometimes, playing in a group can be more motivating. But it’s a great challenge either way.
You can also use this Bingo game in a classroom, a youth group or troop activity.

To print, we recommend printing on medium to heavy white cardstock. Print as many cards as players. Check out printing tips here. (affiliate)
Pass out the Gratitude Bingo cards – one to each player.
Then, set a time frame. There are lots of different time frames you can use. Depending on when you are starting in the month of November, you could play until Thanksgiving Day.
But you can also choose to play for a week, an entire month or until your next gathering.
The goal of play is to try and get Bingo as many times as you can in the time frame set. Bingo is achieved by completing squares in a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line.
Another option for play is to aim for SUPER Bingo. To play this way, players try to complete all of the squares in the given time frame. This can be a great challenge task.

Reasons to Play Gratitude Bingo
Although all games can some fun attached, Gratitude Bingo goes beyond just entertainment. Playing can literally build community around you. Sending a note to friend you haven’t spoken to in a awhile. Or helping a neighbor with something. All of these tasks help create positive interactions with each other.
Playing can also boost your positive emotions. With the change of season and added darkness, things can feel dreary. Increase those positive endorphins by focusing on others.
And it’s a great way to celebrate Thanksgiving. Although much of Thanksgiving is focused around the feast, showing gratitude to others is also a special was to celebrate.
