If I had to choose a favorite season of the year, I definitely would nominate fall. Something about the crisper weather mixing together with apples and pumpkins solidifies its standings on the leader board.
Fall is a joyous time of year. Sweaters, colorful leaves, baking, apple picking, a visit to the pumpkin patch. It’s hard to pick just one event that makes it special.
And you can add more happy to your fall festivities with these free printable Happy Fall gift tags that I designed. Aren’t they pretty? Last year I fell in love with the look of black and white buffalo check. I used the pattern throughout my Thanksgiving table decor.
Inspired by the rustic look of this pattern, I designed two different versions of these Happy Fall gift tags. One has vine full of pumpkins and the other has a stack of pumpkins. With two different designs, you can pick your favorite or mix and match between them.
The free printable tags are the perfect topper for gifting your fall baked goods, treats for your favorite teacher or handing out this ridiculously addictive fall snack mix. (We really have eaten through two batches. I am almost scared to make more in fear the munching might not ever stop!)
Do you enjoy giving little gifts to others throughout the year? I may not be perfect about remembering birthdays and anniversaries, but I love gifting little treats unexpectedly. Friends and family are always so excited to receive a little surprise. And it’s nice to spread smiles to others.
Celebrating a new season is particularly fun. For spring, I hand out seed packets wrapped in these pretty seed packet covers. And summer brings along homemade BBQ sauce, s’mores kits and sets of sidewalk chalk topped with this free printable Happy Summer gift tag.
But I didn’t have anything to top my fall treats with. Until now.
Print your tags on heavy white cardstock – about 90 to 100 lb (affiliate). If your printer is unable to print this thickness of paper, then use a medium cardstock – about 65 lb (affiliate). Just remember that your tags will be a bit more flimsy than if you use a heavier cardstock.

Once printed, cut out your Happy Fall gift tags using scissors or a paper trimmer (affiliate). Punch a hole using a 1/4″ hole punch (affiliate) on the top so you can tie to your packaging or just clip on. Tie on your package with thin ribbon or baker’s twine (affiliate).
And if you are hosting a fall celebration or Thanksgiving dinner, these Happy Fall tags are a wonderful addition to your party favors. You can even place the treat on each of your guest’s dinner plate to greet them when they sit down at the table. What a nice way to welcome guests and wish them a wonderful season ahead.
