Lemon Party Pinwheel Craft and Free Printable

When thinking about pretty summer party decorations, pinwheels always come to mind. Something about daydreams of running with them on the beach or watching them blow in the breeze makes me think summer party. So when I was designing a recent lemon birthday party for one of Little Bug’s friends, I created these lemon party pinwheel craft. They were an easy pinwheel craft to do together. All our table needed was a bouquet of these sweet paper creations in a mason jar to instantly say summer!
You Will Need:
Free printable lemon pinwheel paper (or you can use a 5″ x 5″ square cutout of your favorite lemon inspired scrapbook paper)
Extra Long Pink Paper Straws (affiliate)
White Push Pins (affiliate)
Scissors
1. To make your lemon party pinwheels, print out your free printable lemon pinwheel paper. Cut out the square of paper for the pinwheel.
2. Cut along the dashed line and stop about a 1/2 inch before the center of the square. Repeat these cuts on the other three corners of the pinwheel.
3. Using an 1/8″ round hole punch, punch a hole in the center of the pinwheel. With the white side of the square facing you, carefully fold one corner into the center of the square. Fold the other three corners in order clockwise.
Gather the four triangle tips in the center of the square and secure with a thumbtack.
Press the end of the thumbtack into the paper straw.
This pretty lemon party pinwheel craft is the perfect decoration for your lemon birthday party. Gather a bouquet and display in a mason jar for a beautiful table decoration. You could even give one to guests as a special favor at the end of the celebration. I’m sure little ones would love to take them home and play with them all summer long.
