Free Printable Pumpkin Scavenger Hunt

Fall has finally arrived here at the studio – crisp temperatures, crunchy leaves and fresh apple pies. The season has finally committed to changing.  One of my favorite things about fall in Virginia are our family walks.  I love grabbing a sweater and exploring our neighborhood together.

This is also the time of year my littles are obsessed with pumpkins.  Any shape, size or color, they love this fall delight.  To keep them interested on our walks, I designed a free printable pumpkin scavenger hunt to do.  It has nine different carved pumpkin faces to search for as we roam our neighborhood blocks.

Print your pumpkin scavenger hunt card on medium to heavy cardstock.  Attach to a small clipboard and let your kids hunt for the different pumpkin faces.  You can even laminate your cards and use dry erase markers so they can do the hunt over and over again.  Pumpkins are always getting added to our neighborhood stoops – right up to Halloween – so there’s always new things to look for.

This pumpkin scavenger hunt would even be a fun activity for a Halloween or pumpkin themed party.  You could organize small groups of children to search a neighborhood block or street during the party.  Or you could carve (or draw) some pumpkins to match the faces on the hunt.  Guests can search for them in a backyard or throughout your home..
