Free Printable Santa Buttons Christmas Treat Bags

The holiday season is finally upon us and we are busy planning treats for all of the kids’ friends. As with most holiday seasons, it’s not possible to give purchased presents to everyone. But my littles still want to give a small some thing to others they care about. I’ve been trying to encourage this act of giving to teach them the true meaning of the season and this seems like the perfect opportunity.
So one idea is to give our little friends a set of Santa Buttons with these Free Printable Santa Buttons Christmas Treat Bags. These Christmas treat bag toppers make a sweet treat for friends, classmates and even a favor at your holiday party. You can fill them with small round brown candies or cookies to give the look of buttons. Some ideas are Milk Duds, brown M & Ms, chocolate covered peanuts, mini Oreo cookies or medium round chocolates such as Dove Chocolates (you can unwrap them).

You Will Need:
Free Printable Santa’s Buttons Christmas Treat Bag Toppers
Medium White Cardstock
Snack Bags
Scoring Board (affiliate) and Bone Folder
Small Round Brown Candies – i.e. Milk Duds, brown M & Ms, medium round chocolates (unwrapped), chocolate covered peanuts
Stapler, Glue Dots (affiliate), Double Sided tape or other adhesive
1. Download your free printable Santa’s Buttons Christmas Treat Bags. Print on medium white cardstock.
2. Fill your snack size baggie with small round brown candies.
3. Cut out your treat bag topper. (Check out tips for assembling your treat bag here.) Score the center of your treat bag topper.
4. Fold your treat bag topper over the baggie. Attach with a stapler, Glue Dots double sided tape.
Give your Santa’s buttons treat bags to neighbors, classmates or use as an easy party favor for your holiday celebration. Everyone will be so excited to get a special treat – you can even say that they’re directly from the North Pole!
