S'mores Marshmallow Pops

I feel like I’ve been talking a lot about marshmallows lately. Between Little Bug starting to eat them recently and s’mores being my favorite dessert during the summer, marshmallows have been taking over my dessert creating these past weeks.

Although I would just as well serve my guests and family a bowl of plain marshmallows (yes, I think they’re that good), I wanted to create something to satisfy my s’mores summer addiction.  No matter how it’s served, whoever first combined chocolate, marshmallows and graham crackers was genius.

To make a little twist on my favorite summertime dessert, I decided to transfer the s’more to a stick and make s’mores marshmallow pops.  Dipped in dark chocolate and rolled in crushed graham crackers, this is a traditional s’more reimagined as a dessert on the go.  Before you know it, Starbucks will be carrying them!  They are the perfect treat to serve at a camping party, barbecue or even take along on a picnic.

You Will Need:

Marshmallows
Crushed graham crackers
Dark chocolate candy melts
Wooden lollipop sticks (affiliate)

1. Melt the dark chocolate candy melts in the microwave for 15 to 20 seconds. Stir. Continue heating until melted.

2. Dip your marshmallow into the dark chocolate.

Roll the marshmallow in the crushed graham crackers.

Place the finished marshmallows in the refrigerator for ten minutes to let the chocolate harden.

3. Stick a wooden lollipop stick into the bottom of the marshmallow. Serve in a jar or vase as a marshmallow bouquet.

This tasty version of s’mores was quite the hit around here. Little Bug loved them as an after dinner treat. The stick made them so much more manageable for a toddler to eat.

Here are some other marshmallow pop ideas that I might have to try.

And even though I didn’t make them into a pop, this was my first chocolate dipped marshmallow recipe..

Happy Celebrating,
