Halloween night is one of our family’s favorite nights of the year.  There’s so much joy celebrating an evening of spooky fun with our neighborhood.

But one of the dilemmas we find every year is that ALL of us want to go trick or treating.  And as much fun as it is hearing the chants of “Trick or Treat” from adorable little monsters and witches when we hand out candy, we also enjoy spending the night walking around the neighborhood together.

So instead, I usually leave a bowl full of candy and other non-candy Halloween treats at the front door.  But every year I am scrambling for the kids to make a trick or treat sign that invites trick or treaters to take one or two pieces.  Because I really don’t want our candy disappearing all at once.

This year, though, I am heading into Halloween more prepared.  Knowing that we have friends visiting from out of town and everyone will be trick or treating for most of the night, I created a Free Printable Trick or Treat Sign.

About the FREE Printable Trick or Treat Sign Design

This Free Printable Trick or Treat Sign Design was so much fun to design.  It features handwritten type and cute Halloween watercolor art.  Because you wouldn’t want your Trick or Treat sign to be so scary it scares off the trick or treaters.

Of course, there are also cobwebs and smiling spiders.  Because spiders aren’t that scary – really.  Except maybe the one I met this morning.

How to Print

Making your Free Printable Trick or Treat Sign is really easy.  I recommend printing on medium to heavy white cardstock (you can find our favorite white cardstock hereaffiliate).  Then, trim your sign using scissors or a paper trimmer. (affiliate)

You can display your sign by the treat bucket.  Taping it to the bucket using Halloween washi tape (affiliate) will guarantee that it isn’t missed or wanders off during the night.

Halloween Bottlecap Necklace Craft

Although this is a craft, for this Halloween Bottlecap Necklace Craft I created the Halloween themed circles to fit in the bottlecaps.  If you don’t want to use them for bottlecap necklaces, you can always add them to the bottom of Hershey kisses as candy circles.  They are about the same size.

Pumpkin Water Bottle Labels

This is one of my favorite non-candy Halloween treats to share – mini water bottles.  Staying hydrated during candy collecting is a must.  And I love helping trick or treaters out.

Although you can give plain water bottles, dressing the bottles up makes them even more festive.  These Free Printable Pumpkin Water Bottle Labels will make your water bottles shine.
